With diamond painting, you apply tiny, sparkling diamonds to a self-adhesive canvas — similar to “paint-by-numbers.” Each section is marked with a symbol that matches a specific diamond color. Stone by stone, a shimmering work of art comes to life.

Our sets include everything you need: a printed canvas, matching diamonds, an applicator pen, wax, and a tray — and in the starter box, you even get additional accessories like silicone paper and storage containers.

The symbols on the canvas represent specific diamond colors (DMC code). You can find the matching color in the legend provided. Simply look for the symbol, and you'll know which diamonds to use.

There are round and square diamonds.

Round diamonds are easier to place, making them perfect for beginners.

Square diamonds fit together without gaps and create an especially smooth, uniform finish — ideal for more advanced crafters.

Both options have their charm!

The color chart (legend) on the side of the canvas shows which DMC code belongs to each symbol. Sort your diamonds according to these codes to find them quickly.

It’s best to start in the top left or bottom right corner — depending on whether you’re right- or left-handed. This prevents your hand from touching and shifting the diamonds you've already placed.

Use silicone paper or washi tape to divide your canvas into small sections. This way, you work piece by piece without exposing the entire canvas at once. It makes diamond painting more relaxed, organized, and easier to manage.

Storage containers with individual compartments are ideal. This way, you can sort your diamonds by color and won’t lose any. Our starter box already includes the perfect little storage pots!

In rare cases, the adhesive on exposed areas may lose strength. Always cover unused sections well with silicone paper. If needed, you can apply special adhesive or use double-sided tape afterwards.

An LED pad is not a must, but it’s very helpful — especially for small symbols or dark colors. It makes the symbols on the canvas easier to see and helps protect your eyes.

Remove the transparent protective film and place the silicone paper onto the sticky surface. You can also cut it into smaller pieces to divide your canvas into sections. It protects the canvas and helps you work in a more organized way.

With washi tape, you can mask the edges of the canvas. This creates clean borders and lets you place the diamonds perfectly up to the edge — without sticking beyond it.

Once your picture is finished, you can apply a diamond painting sealer over the surface. It protects the artwork, secures the diamonds in place, and adds extra shine. It’s ideal if you plan to frame or hang your piece.

You can frame your diamond painting just like a regular picture — with or without glass, depending on your preference.

Alternatively, you can use self-adhesive stretcher frames or magnetic poster hangers.

Important: seal your artwork first, then frame it!

Check whether the surface is still sticky. If needed, use a roller to gently press the diamonds down or apply a sealer to make sure they stay in place permanently.

You can carefully remove misplaced diamonds with a fine pair of tweezers. Be gentle to avoid damaging the adhesive layer.

Lay the canvas flat under a heavy book or gently press it with an iron on low heat (with parchment/baking paper in between) to smooth out the creases.

Then the wax in your pen is used up. Simply press a bit of fresh wax from the included wax pad into the tip — and the diamonds will stick to your pen again.
